After the elimination of our mortgage in 2025, the question was raised, "What will we do post mortgage elimination?" When the weight of debt is lifted, the call of duty becomes clearer: not merely to maintain what exists, but to prayerfully restore, responsibly develop, and faithfully prepare the house for generations yet unborn. The Haggai Legacy Project emerges in this sacred moment — a commitment to align our campus, our capacity, and our calling with the will of God.
Scripture reminds us that when the people returned from exile, they did not simply rebuild walls — they rebuilt identity. Through the prophetic voice of Haggai, the strategic leadership of Nehemiah, and the priestly order restored through Ezra, the people of God were summoned to reorder priorities, renew covenant commitment, and reestablish the visible presence of God among them. The charge was clear:
“Consider your ways.” (Haggai 1:5)
“Rise up and build.” (Nehemiah 2:18)
“Let the house of God be rebuilt.” (Ezra 5:2)
The Haggai Legacy Project is Fairfield’s spiritual and strategic response to that same call.
Having pressed forward under themes that remind us to keep striving and ascend to deeper dimensions of faith, Fairfield now stands positioned to steward the blessing of progress with intentionality and order. The same Spirit that sustained perseverance now calls for thoughtful development — measured growth that honors both tradition and transformation.
